The College of Nursing has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Business Services Program Manager (ORS Fellowship Program Manager) position.

Jobs in this career family provide general business operations of the organization or a combination of operational responsibilities covering multiple career families.  Functions include institutional research, statistical analysis, policy development and review, strategic planning and broad unit business operations such as parking and transportation services, risk management, childcare services, real estate and property management, retail services or job responsibilities that combine fiscal, HR and operational management responsibilities.

Program Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of a program, function or work unit, including the development and implementation of processes consistent with college, school or departmental strategies and processes.  These positions typically do not supervise others.

Position Emphasis:

The CU College of Nursing, Office of Research and Scholarship (ORS) is seeking a full-time (1.00 FTE) ORS Fellowship Program Manager (University Staff Position).  This position will support CU Nursing Faculty, Fellows, and Students related to editing and scientific writing.  This position will also manage logistics related to CU Nursing fellowships, ORS metric collection, ORS events, and endowment funding opportunities, coordinating with other CU Nursing Administrative Teams as needed.

The ORS Fellowship Program Manager will report to the Associate Dean of Research and Scholarship and work closely with the ORS team.  The ORS Fellowship Program Manager will work in collaboration with the Sr. Associate Dean of Faculty and Students, Division Chairs, Assistant Deans, and other leaders within the CU College of Nursing related to the overall CU Nursing Strategic Mission pertaining to research and nursing inquiry.

Examples of Work Performed:

    Editing of grant proposals, journal articles, research abstracts, etc. Provides comprehensive editing of research abstracts and articles written for publication by faculty members, fellows, and students within the CU College of Nursing.Provides comprehensive editing – at the levels of scientific content, clarity of writing, grammar, and highlighting of significance – of grant proposals written by faculty members, fellows and students with the CU College of Nursing.
Management of fellowships for CU Nursing students/trainees and tenure track faculty members working with CU Nursing Finance and CU Nursing HR on applicable aspects:Management of administrative aspects related to applicable CU Nursing Fellowships such as the Psychiatric Mental Health Fellowships, including coordination with other CU Nursing Administrative Teams as applicable.Serving as liaison to the CU Cancer Center fellowship program related to CU Nursing Students, etc.Coordination of metric collection specific to ORS program outcomesEncompasses outcomes associated with current resources cores, including Veteran’s Mental Health (VMH) and palliative care. Coordination of event planning within the CU Nursing Office of Research and Scholarship in collaboration with relevant leaders and/or teams within the College of Nursing and in alignment with college and university policy and procedures.Including College of Nursing Research and Scholarship Symposium (CONRSS), College of Nursing Grand Rounds, and other conferences/poster sessions, etc.In collaboration with CU Nursing Continuing Education, prepares, submits, and monitors required paperwork to initiate Continuing Education credits for the College of Nursing Grand Rounds.Manages distribution of materials for conferences and lectures. Develops brochures, invitations, or advertisements for ORS related events/lectures in alignment with CU Nursing Marketing and Communication Guidelines and CU Branding Standards.Coordination of schedule for visiting professorships in collaboration with CU Nursing Faculty Affairs.Support other CU Nursing Teams related to cross-college events and helping with availabilities, etc.Coordinate PhD Intensives week in collaboration with the Assistant Dean of PhD Programs and the Office of Academic ProgramsFacilitates operationalization of endowment fund opportunities related to the Office of Research and Scholarship, including communication about opportunities, coordinating applicants to relevant committees, communication with CU Nursing Finance on selected individuals, etc.Including Intramural funding, Funding opportunities facilitated by the CU Nursing Research (RED) CommitteeProvides administrative support to the CU Nursing Research Faculty Standing CommitteeInterfaces with students and faculty to support and grow the mission of the Office of Research and ScholarshipThis description is a summary only and is describing the general level of work being performed, it is not intended to be all-inclusive. Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $57,764 to $80,870.  

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

    A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
The position requires extensive, diverse and progressively responsible experience (3-5 years), including direct responsibility for scientific writing, editing, and/or administrative experience coordinating fellowships or similar programs within an institution of higher education.Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience with professional program and/or project management.Experience working with fellowships in higher education.Experience with event planning
