The College of Nursing has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Program Assistant I (Continuing Education Program Assistant) position.

This class describes the first level of program assistant where positions perform technical support and/or office management duties as described under the Description of Occupational Work section above. Work involves making decisions within established technical work processes related to a program or professional subject area and interpreting program specific guidelines to resolve problems, answer questions, and/or advise others on specific program issues or matters.

Position Emphasis:

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a full-time (1.00 FTE) Continuing Education Program Assistant.  This University Staff (non-classified) position serves on the Continuing Education team in the College of Nursing; the position will be physically located at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado.

The Continuing Education Program Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support for all aspects of Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) programming offered through the CEPD Office. This includes support for meeting all criteria set forth by the Colorado Nurses Association (CNA), the approver for the CON NCPD provider status from the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Criteria include elements related to marketing and outreach, planning (arranging meeting times, creating documents and minutes), faculty communications for educational session information and conflict of interest disclosure, verification of attendee participation, evaluation data entry, and accurate development and maintenance of certificates of completion for contact hour credit. In addition the position provides support for planning site logistics (catering, AV, registration desk) in advance of the program as well as on-site.

Examples of Work Performed:

    Ongoing Review of CE Webpage and Printed Materials for Accuracy and Timeliness Collaborate with Program Assistant with access to internal CU web tools for timely updates of CE program information on CON website to assure accurate information on programs is readily available Assure timely placement of NCPD program marketing and advertising materials and collaborate with CON Marketing and Ongoing Review of CE Webpage and Printed Materials for Accuracy and Timeliness Internal NCPD Program Logistic Administration Develop online NCPD event registration platform Arrange for space, special AV or other unique program needs Marketing to potential registrants through event platform, campus resources and web pages and online toolsCollating and summarizing program evaluation feedback after NCPD programsNCPD Accreditation Criteria Documentation Assist with development and maintenance of NCPD provider and joint-provider application documents. Communicate with joint providers regarding deadlines, document formatting, submission guidelines, and any other specific criteria to assist in program planning according to division polices. Assist with developing NCPD document templates Assist with creating, editing and maintaining accreditation documents for internally offered NCPD programs Create NCPD Certificates for programs, and track and evaluate processes and report concerns related to issuance of NCPD certificates Participate in completion of the reapplication for NCPD provider status, and gather, organize, copy and collate required documents. Communicate with Colorado Nurses Association as needed regarding application.Participate in file close out and checklist development and documentationDevelop and maintain tracking spreadsheets for office and individual programs Develop a process for accurate issuance and archiving of NCPD certificates CE Outlook Calendar used for internal office communications • Assist with annual report submission to CNA and for CON File maintenance for accreditation purposes and administrative requirementsSpeaker / Faculty and Participant Communications Primary point of contact for speaker / faculty participating in NCPD program for all required NCPD accreditation forms, and other information to allow streamlined participation and outcome of presentation.On-site logistic planning and participation both leading up to and on the days of NCPD events, including oversight of registration processes, catering and signage, and other logistic assistance as delegated.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $49,104 to $54,144.  

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 

    Four years of general clerical experience, which must include one year of experience in a customer service setting.Substitution: College or university course work appropriate to the work assignment, may substitute on a year for year basis for the experience.
