Job Description:


Instructor for Radiologic Technology course Intermediate Radiologic Procedures, in accordance with description published in Roxbury Community College catalog and the approved course outline. Responsibilities include giving lectures and guiding laboratory assignments.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Provide instruction of his/her assigned course(s)
  • Responsible for creating a classroom environment which fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development.
  • Responsible for the creation and revision of daily lesson plans.
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping of student attendance and academic progress.
  • Correct and return quizzes, tests and lab assignments in a timely manner to students.
  • Utilize instructional and audiovisual aids, and all available resources.
  • Follow a syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.
  • Meets with and advises students before and after class or by appointment.
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and informs students in a timely manner of their progress.
  • Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.


Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • Current certification in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in Radiography or a minimum of two (2) years teaching experience in a Radiography Program.
  • Teaching experience at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working with students from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds who possess wide ranges of academic abilities and interests.
  • Familiarity with Jenzabar or similar online learning applications.
  • Teaching Experience at a Community College.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide diverse teaching methods to different learning styles.
  • Experience with Online teaching and OER.


Additional Information:


Expected Start Date: January 19, 2022


Compensation: The salary will be determined based on the guidelines and procedures of the Division of Continuing Education (DCE) and collective bargaining agreement.


  • The course is scheduled for Monday and Wednesday 1:30pm to 2:45pm.
  • All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
