Job Description:

The Office for Equity and Diversity (OED) is currently seeking a Graduate Research Assistant. The GRA will be responsible for assisting the OED Research Associate and Data Analyst in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting of diversity metrics to appropriately inform diversity and equity strategic efforts and programming on campus.

The OED Graduate Research Assistant duties may include:
· Prepare and analyze data for legally required affirmative action and equal opportunity reports, in accordance with federal and state compliance regulations;· Assist developing campus climate surveys, including analyzing data and writing reports;· Assist designing OED data dashboards and data visualization projects;· Retrieve, prepare and compile relevant diversity and equity metrics reports and presentations;· Conduct literature reviews to examine emerging best practices as it relates to diversity benchmarks, metrics, trends, and reporting; and· Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
· Proficiency in one or more quantitative statistical programs (SPSS, Stata, R)· Proficiency in basic quantitative analysis including bivariate analysis and linear regression modeling· Experience interpreting statistical analyses and translating findings to provide clear, concise, and intuitive insight for non-data audiences, such as in a paper or report· Experience developing survey questions and research designs, ability to execute the research plan and adapt as necessary· Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups· Strong interpersonal and written communication skills· High degree of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail· Scheduling availability to work 10 to 15 hours per week during the academic year


Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.):

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
· Experience with data visualization (Tableau, PowerBI, dashboard, infographics)· Proficiency with online survey tools including Qualtrics· Proficiency in advanced quantitative analysis including hierarchical linear modeling and/or structural equation modeling· Experience working with and managing large datasets· Knowledge of QuantCrit approaches to data analysis
