Job Summary

Kutztown University is searching for a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic team of IT professionals as a Systems Administrator to support our faculty, staff, and students. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily support and management of on-premise and cloud-based technologies including Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft O365, AWS, SANSs, VMWare, Identity Management and other peripheral support systems. The individual will also provide tier 2/3 support services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems/technology or a computer science field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in systems administration and/or IT Support
  • Experience with or knowledge of desktop and server operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directory, virtualization, networking, application support.
  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio)
  • Microsoft Active Directory maintenance and administration, including user, adds, deletes, security, group assignments, policies, and scripting, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, project documentation, application maintenance and integration
  • Experience with Linux Operating Systems and associated applications
  • Knowledge/experience with backup/recovery administration
  • Experience in Higher Education

    The anticipated starting salary for this position is between $65,339 - $77,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
