Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Admissions Coordinator, Graduate Programs, Boca Raton, FL.

The Admissions Coordinator is a complex administrative position that should maintain extensive knowledge of university admission requirements, policies and procedures. Duties to include recruiting efforts by providing admissions information to prospective students, creating communication materials, representing the university at onsite locations, maintain student records and the process of all required paperwork with other departments.

Works closely with the Executive Director and Assistant Director to develop and implement admissions goals and strategies, in addition to working with the Graduate College at the university. The Admissions Coordinator position should maintain extensive knowledge of university admission requirements, policies and procedures.

  • Guide prospective students on different programs offered at FAU to assist them in achieving their educational aspirations with the best program for them. This includes working with potential students through the application process starting with the inquiry stage, all the way to course enrollment.

  • Coordinate recruiting and facilitate group presentations of various sizes for prospective students.

  • Work closely with program advisors to ensure that new student applications are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Work with the Graduate College to coordinate and manage the admission processes i.e. student applications, official transcripts, petitions and decision awards.

  • Attend education and professional career fairs and sponsored events for recruiting purposes. Reach out to companies and organize outreach events to promote the graduate degree programs. Facilitate large group presentations for prospective students.

  • Work closely with other team members of the Executive Education, College of Business, and Graduate College, and other Colleges/departments teams to secure new student admission.

  • Innovate and implement process improvement measures in efforts to increase and maintain program retention and program experience.

  • Exercise the highest level of customer service to exemplify the Executive Education premium service expectation.

  • Work with immunization department, registrar's office, Graduate College, OIT and International student office to ensure that prospective students' paperwork is finalized.

  • Collect and review student files for admissions in all graduate programs. Manage and secure all student credentialing paperwork and documents. Contact and Respond to student questions via email, text message and phone during work hours.

  • Collect and process new student deposit payments.

  • Work closely with the financial aid office and Exec Ed Finance department to answer student questions and assist with the processing of funding.

  • Work closely with the marketing team to prepare advertising materials and promotional campaigns (catalogs, website, print materials).

  • Meet with faculty, alumni and other representatives to develop strategies and program enhancement tactics.

  • Reach targeted enrollment goals each semester for the Online MBA and other Programs.

  • Provide general office support if requested in other areas i.e. program management and academic advising.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of appropriate experience required.

Flexibility to work, as needed, at the FAU Davie, West Palm Beach, and Jupiter campus locations for recruitment and event support purposes.

Experience working with students, and/or adults in an educational environment preferred.

University experience and knowledge of admissions preferred.

Desired Skills and Experience:

● Proficiency in English and in MS Office Suite
● Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
● Experience with Presenting to large groups
● High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
● Knowledge of Banner, Workday, VIP, CRM system and Adobe preferred

$60,000 - $65,000
