Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Associated AD Business Operations, Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and administer the annual athletics budget.
- Prepare monthly budget statements and assist with short range and long range forecasting.
- Develop operational procedures for monitoring financial transactions to ensure accurate recording and strong fiscal management.
- Review accounting statements sent by FAU cost accounting to ensure all transactions charged to athletics are accurate.
- Manage and oversee administrative support roles/functions for Athletics.
- Effectively monitor all fiscal and budgetary matters within the Athletic Department in the institution's effort to comply with NCAA, C-USA and FAU rules and regulations.
- Recommend cost and operational improvements in athletics to ensure cost effectiveness of resources and operational efficiency.
- Manage athletics department policy and procedures: recommends need for operating guidelines; updates all policies and procedures, puts appropriate monitoring in place to ensure compliance with all guidelines.
- Serve as Department of Athletics liaison with designated FAU departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage all athletic camp programs both administratively and financially.
- Prepare annual NCAA annual EADA financial data report.
- Prepare annual NCAA Revenue and Expense Report and any other NCAA financial reports.
- Serve as primary liaison for all athletic department audits, be they internal or external.
- Assist with developing cost proposals for needed athletic resources, equipment facilities, personnel for Senior Associate Athletic Director and Director of Athletics to submit to Executive management.
- Manage athletic scholarship program and collaborates with athletic compliance to ensure adherence to all NCAA rules and regulations.
- Provide management and supervision of staff which consists of two full time staff members and two student workers.
Final candidate will be required to have official, sealed transcripts and original NACES evaluation, if applicable, sent from their educational institution to Human Resources prior to the start of employment.
Successful completion of a background check, which may include a motor vehicle check, credit check, fingerprinting or additional screening, is required for the selected candidate prior to the start date.
