Job Description:


The Administrative Assistant will oversee the daily operations of the Student Activities and Leadership Development office. Providing administrative support for the office; including walk-in appointments, managing on-line databases, scheduling for professional staff, and overall customer service for the office.


This position is a part-time role, of twenty (20) hours per week during the academic year, Monday-Friday.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Student Activities & Leadership Development (SALD) Office;
  • Assist with SGA-sponsored Student Organization requests, including room reservations via SchoolDude, completing check requests, reimbursement, managing the office credit card transactions and campus wide event hard copy and digital marketing;
  • Responsible for the maintenance of advertisement within the Campus Center, as well as office social media and college intranet;
  • Maintain the campus events calendar, updating as needed with student organization events during the academic year;
  • Assist with overall budget support and education for student organizations;
  • Support the office online engagement platform, Presence. Update student organization information and distribute data appropriately;
  • Recruit, train, schedule and evaluate the Office of Student Activities & Leadership Development work study students;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:


  1. High School diploma or equivalent required;
  2. Associates degree, preferred;
  3. The ability to create an inclusive, socially just environments;
  4. Attention to detail;
  5. Ability to be a self-starter;
  6. Posses strong interpersonal, customer service, excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills are required.
  7. COVID-19 vaccination is required.
