Position Summary::

Seeking five (5) clinical instructor faculty with a broad range of experience to provide clinical instruction. Adult health, medical-surgical, and /or critical care experience preferred. Candidates with prior teaching or student supervision in the clinical setting preferred. The Capstone College of Nursing has over 2,300 students enrolled in programs leading to BSN, MSN, DNP, and PhD degrees. At the MSN level, we offer concentrations for Nurse Administrators, Family Nurse Practitioners, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. We offer both post BSN and post MSN entry points in our DNP program. Our Joint Nursing Science PhD Program is offered in collaboration with UAH.

A Master’s degree in nursing is required. Candidates must be willing to work days or evenings and be willing to provide clinical supervision in Tuscaloosa or Birmingham four days a week. Additional requirements include the ability to practice as a registered nurse in Alabama. Advanced practice experience and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner preferred.

This is a non-tenure earning clinical position which is renewable yearly at the discretion of the Dean based on performance, funding and need. This is not a distance-based position.
