Job Description:The Department of Astronomy at the University of Florida invites applicants for a post-doctoral associate who will work with Dr. Jaehan Bae on young stars, young planets, protoplanetary disks, or planet formation, starting in Fall 2022. Candidates are welcome to suggest their own research projects on either theory or observation. Experience in (magneto-)hydrodynamic simulations, radiative transfer calculations, chemical modeling, machine learning and/or radio and millimeter data reduction/analysis is preferred.

This position will be initially awarded for one year, and, contingent upon strong performance, conduct, and availability of funds, may be renewed on a year-to-year appointment for up to three years.

Expected Salary:The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:

The applicant must have Ph.D. in astrophysics by the date of appointment.
