The Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students is searching for an Assistant Vice Provost, Director and Chief Health Officer of Boynton Health at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, collaborative, inclusive, and student-focused leader with significant administrative and health care experience in a complex organizational setting.

The assistant vice provost, director and chief health officer oversees one of the largest college health services in the country, serving the campus’ 70,000 members via more than 300 employees in 15 medical service clinics and four public health units. Clinics include primary care, dental, mental health and transgender health. Boynton Health also administers three student health insurance plans for the University.

By providing comprehensive health care with a public health approach, Boynton advances the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of the University community through its expertise in college health. Boynton works with many units across the University system to address health issues, including preventive care, health promotion, health care policy, and preparedness for public health emergencies.

As a unit within the Office for Student Affairs (OSA) and reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the department is focused on student development and success. A Student Health Advisory Committee represents the needs of students and makes recommendations to help Boynton improve the health of the University community.
