Director of Financial Aid

Duties:Under the general direction of the Dean of Enrollment Services, the Director of Financial Aid is responsible for the overall planning, evaluation, management and supervision of the Financial Aid Office, including the administration of grants, loans, scholarships, veterans’ benefits, and federal work-study program. This includes an annual plan for distribution of the financial aid resources of the college, management of the policies and procedures, and gathering, maintaining and distributing financial aid data.
The Director of Financial Aid serves as a campus leader and provides planning, supervision, and evaluation of the financial aid operations of the college. The Director is responsible for maintaining the college’s compliance with all federal, state, and institutional polices and regulations. The Director is responsible for the financial aid compliance portion of the annual single audit, annual submission of the FISAP, and handling the updates to the PPA and ECAR. The Director is dedicated to the learning of college concepts by developing programs and strategies that promote student success and lifelong learning, as well as providing leadership to ensure quality financial aid service to students.
Master’s degree required. Three to five years’ experience administering financial aid programs including electronic processing of aid, preferably in a community college. Experience in preparing federal Title IV and state reports. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience required. Must have a track record demonstrating dedication to the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Qualifications:• Knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs and regulations
• Demonstrated customer service orientation and leadership skills
• Ability to handle detailed work under deadlines and multiple tasks concurrently
• Good computational, presentation and organizational skills
• Knowledge of on-line computer systems
• Ability to utilize technology in the administration of financial aid programs
• Bilingual skills preferred
Full Time
Hours:Monday-Friday
8:00 am-5:15 pm
One-two late nights per week 10:00 am-7:30 pm
Occasional Saturdays
$77,410
