The Research Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple large scale studies funded by the National Institutes of Health, including the newly awarded Boston Alcohol Research Collaboration on HIV/AIDS Comorbidity Center (Boston ARCH CC). The Boston ARCH CC consists of four components: an Administrative Core, a Biostatistics and Data Management Core, and two clinical trials one that focuses on chronic pain, and the other on physical activity. The Research Project Manager will manage all aspects of the two trials, including study start-up, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of trial progress. They will lead regular study team meetings, supervise research staff, represent the study to internal and external collaborators, and be responsible for regular reporting (NIH, IRB, ClinicalTrials.gov, etc.).

The incumbent will have the opportunity to work closely with leaders in the field of HIV and substance use disorder research, implementing novel approaches to online recruitment and telehealth interventions. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in issues surrounding alcohol and other drug use and HIV. Experience with large, complex trials and online recruitment/telehealth interventions preferred. The candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, utilize time and resources efficiently, and establish priorities while appropriately allocating resources across both trials. Required Skills

Knowledge and Skills:

• Master's degree
• Minimum of three years of experience in clinical or public health research.
• Minimum of 1 year of personnel management/supervisory experience.
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented, have exceptional communication and writing skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with large complex trials preferred
• Knowledge of online recruitment/enrollment and remote/telehealth behavioral intervention trials is helpful.
• Experience in data analysis and manuscript preparation is helpful.
• Experience with REDCap is helpful.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Power Point, and Excel is essential.
• Cultural sensitivity and comfort interacting with a wide range of social, racial and ethnic populations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, utilize time and resources efficiently and balance competing priorities.
• Experience working with substance using and HIV populations preferred.
