Responsibilities The Environmental Services Technician in this position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing assigned patient care, administrative, rehabilitative and visitor areas in a 188-bed long term care facility.The duties include, but are not limited to:

Perform a variety of cleaning tasks within an assigned work area to include dust and wet mop floors, clean and disinfect restrooms and showers daily with germicidal solution.Remove spots and spillage from patient floors and corridors.Clean chairs, bedside cabinets, bed trays and other exposed areas.Collect and transport biohazardous waste to designated area.Spot clean and sanitize walls, doors and door hinges, sills, and knobs.Terminal clean units upon patient discharge, cleaning closets and bedside cabinets.Participate in special cleaning projects as directed by supervisor.Perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization.OR One year of experience in a similar position in a commercial, hospital or industrial environment.Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in environmental cleaning, particularly in a healthcare environment.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
