Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Diabetes has an opening for a part-time University Staff (unclassified) Administrative Assistant II at .50 FTE position.

Job Summary:

The Endocrinology, Metabolism & Diabetes clinic at UCH is seeking an Administrative Assistant to work under the direction of the Practice Director/Diabetes Program Leader. This position is responsible for administrative and technical support of clinical operations. This position will work approx. 20 hours/week.

Examples of work performed:

    Provide administrative support to the Practice Director/Diabetes Program Leader that includes: calendar management, meeting arrangement, and clinic schedule.Work with the Division’s Executive Assistant to execute joint initiatives involving the Division Head, Division Administrator and Associate Division Head. Managing procurement of diabetes supplies, under the direction of clinical educators.Responsible for forms management for diabetes technology, under the direction of the Practice Director.Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence.Adhere to current financial policies and procedures; independently seek training and guidance on new policies and procedures.Coordinate clinical meeting(s), including: compiling agendas; handling related correspondence and communications (both at the individual and campus wide levels); and composing minutes as necessary.Responsible for clerical supplies by maintaining inventory and ordering.Responsible for expense reimbursements for the Practice Director by creating and/or assisting with the creation of expense reports to reconcile charges on procurement cards and submit reimbursement requests through Concur.Act as liaison for IT incident tickets Track community physicians and their contact information Performs other administrative and clerical duties as required

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at $18.02 to $20.43 per hour.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

2 years of general clerical and/or administrative experience.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Substitutions:

College or university course work, appropriate to the work assignment, may substitute for the experience on a year-for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing administrative and technical assistance to faculty and physicians within a higher education and/or medical education, clinical environment.
  • Experience working with CU systems such as Marketplace and Concur.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a business or health related field.
Competencies:

    Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
