Job Details

The College of Liberal Arts at Drew University seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Public Health beginning August 2022, pending budgetary approval. Appointment at the advanced assistant professor or early associate professor level will also be considered, contingent upon applicant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach core courses in the Public Health major, including Principles of Public Health; Research Methods in Population Health; Epidemiology; and the Capstone Seminar in Public Health, as well as elective courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
  • Develop an active research program involving undergraduate students
  • Advise public health majors and minors
  • Contribute to the ongoing support and development of the program in Public Health
  • Be an active and engaged member of the Drew community through participation in department and college service.

Required Education and Experience: The successful candidate should have either a PhD in Public Health, or a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a PhD in a related area in the natural or social sciences by August 1, 2022.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Interest and experience in teaching and working with undergraduate students is preferred. Practical experience in a public health context and evidence of leadership potential is also desirable.
