Job Description:


The experience coordinator provides front-line administrative support and helps set the tone for advancement experiences, engagement, and serving with a heart for others. This energetic person reports to the director of development, works with highly confidential and sensitive information, forms relationships with a diverse group of external constituents, and interacts with internal contacts from all levels of the institution.


  • Provide general administrative support primarily to the director of development and major gifts team. Support for the director of development and major gifts team includes, but is not limited to, data entry, calendar management, travel and itineraries, appointments, contact reports, presentations, mailings, communications, events, and projects.
  • Support workflow of the advancement office as advised by the director of development and/or vice president for advancement. Examples include events involving major donors, giving societies, giving days, and individual donor visits to campus
  • Process gift agreements; and track stewardship and follow-up needed for grants and donors.
  • Learn internal systems (example: Ellucian Colleague database) to support the work of the team.
  • Possess a warm personality with excellent customer service skills.
  • Provide appropriate attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to manage paper and electronic communication workflow
  • Engage with alumni, donors, and guests with a spirit of hospitality during signature college events such as Homecoming and also personalized visits to campus.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office professional.
  • Professional communication skills, organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure with flexibility.
  • Thorough knowledge of office practices and procedures with care for confidentiality.
  • Service-orientated with a heart for others.
