Responsible for grounds and landscaping maintenance at assigned athletics fields and other areas as assigned.
Responsible for field maintenance and setup prior to athletic events in accordance with NCAA guidelines. Responsible for cleaning up before and after athletic events.
Performs grounds and landscaping tasks including operation of mowers, tractors, topdressers, aerators, verticutters, weedeaters, edgers, blowers, paint machines and spray equipment and other equipment used in layout and maintenance of athletics fields.
Responsible for irrigation and fertilization of assigned areas.
Operates utility vehicles and other vehicles as needed to complete assigned duties.
Responsible for general grounds and landscaping including general plant care, soil excavation and removal, litter and debris removal, maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.
Performs other related duties as assigned in support of Athletics Department.
QualificationsCompletion of the ninth grade.
Experience in general grounds and landscaping to include general plant care, soil excavation and removal, etc.
Experience in the operation of mowers, tractors, top dressers, aerators, verticutters, weedeaters, edgers, blowers, pain machines, and spray equipment and other equipment used in layout and maintenance.
Valid Driver's License obtained prior to hire

This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.
ScheduleMust be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.
