Job Description:

The aligned Financial Aid Office of Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College is focused on providing excellent student-centered service while maintaining compliance with federal and state financial aid regulations. The Director of Financial Aid will direct and supervise the professional staff of the office to administer and coordinate the expenditures of the student financial aid funds, analyze and implement financial aid laws and regulations, create and implement efficient systems for processing student aid and communicating with internal and external customers of Anoka-Ramsey and Anoka Technical College financial aid office. This position will have responsibilities at both colleges and the home campus will be the Coon Rapids campus.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with constituents in a diverse multicultural and multiracial community
  • Three (3) years recent experience in student financial aid administration in higher education
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience
  • Extensive current knowledge of federal Title IV, state, and local financial aid laws, regulations, and policies to effectively direct the programming and operations of the department
  • Oral and written communication skills to effectively explain financial regulations to internal and external constituents and to develop, recommend, administer and evaluate policies and procedures
  • Current knowledge and relevant experience with financial aid computing and data processing management systems (National Students Loan Data Systems (NSLDS), Common Origination and Disbursement (COD), and Central Processing System (CPS))
  • Bachelor Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using database software such as Integrated Student Record System (ISRS) or similar system
  • Experience with Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) Enrollment, Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP) reporting, and Federal Student Aid (FSA) software or similar software
  • Master’s degree
