The Coordinator-Student Philanthropy of Sustainable Giving works closely with the Associate Director of Sustainable to support student and to facilitate student programming that will educate the student body on the importance of giving back to the University and, through involvement and philanthropy, to create lifelong affinity for the institution.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Advise and manage the student philanthropy/alumni association (Green, White & YOU), a student organization dedicated to increasing student and alumni engagement through philanthropy, networking, professional development, mentoring and traditions
• Maintain a culture of philanthropy and engagement within the university community
• Assist GW&YOU in increasing student donors who support the mission of the student organization and Stetson alumni, through the Senior Class Gift Campaign and Greenfeather
• Plan, implement and sustain the "Your Gift, Your Choice" Class Giving Campaign by creating a comprehensive strategic plan for short- and long-term growth of the senior class giving campaign
• Plan and execute student engagement programs and approximately 40 annual events such as Thank-A-Donor Day, Humble Hatter Week and Senior Week
• Conduct post-event assessments and develop reports on each event, documenting opportunities/challenges and making recommendations for future improvements
• Must maintain an office and brand that is approachable to students, creating a genuine environment where students are comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Research current trends in the industry of student philanthropy to ensure the group maintains a high level of quality and is well-versed in best practices
• Stay current with hot topics among Stetson students to maintain GW&YOU's relevance regarding topics on which the group educates the student body; maintain high knowledge of institutional facts and figures in relation to educational topics; and be proactive with educating students about donor impact, donor scholarships, campaign projects, donor gifts and tuition breakdown
• Must maintain an office and brand that is approachable to students, creating a genuine environment where students are comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree

Required Skills

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to interact personably within a complex administrative organization with students as well as with external groups
• Ability to prioritize, focus, work independently and be a self-starter
• Flexibility for a variable work schedule depending on program activities and events
• Ability to effectively supervise student employees
• Ability to lift and move items associated with event set-up, transporting and displaying materials

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in related field required; additional experience in higher education, corporate or non-profit environment preferred
• Experience with Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite or equivalent experience with simple design, branding and marketing campaigns preferred
• Administrative experience in detail-oriented office with high level of interaction with outside community and University academic communities
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so at Stetson University
