Vice President for Finance and Business Operations


Gannon University is seeking candidates for the Vice President for Finance and Business Operations (VPFBO) who are looking to join a dynamic senior leadership team and make a difference in our university and in the lives of our students and colleagues. Gannon University is a growing and thriving diocesan Catholic university, focused on transforming the lives our students, our colleagues, and the communities we serve.

Reporting directly to the President, the VPFBO oversees an annual budget of $100 million and leads a team of seven direct reports and more than 50 staff members in support of seamless financial operations; human resources; risk management; employee well-being; and ensuring a safe and engaging campus environment for all. Aligned with Gannon's culture and behaviors promoting respect, transparency and collaboration, the VPFBO will bring experience and a creative spirit of systems-thinking and reimagination to the work of refining and fully integrating annual budget processes, business planning, and financial analytics and modeling.

The university is experiencing its largest enrollment in its history, eclipsing 4,700 students and has achieved consecutive, substantial annual financial operating surpluses. Gannon recently launched a $100 million comprehensive campaign. We are engaging our nearly 1,000 (640 full-time) colleagues in their personal and professional development, which earned the school "honor roll" status as a Great College To Work For.

The VPFBO will be seasoned communicator and manager who will further the intentional development of a campus full of humble, hungry and smart servant leaders dedicated to promoting Gannon's Catholic tradition and its manifestation in support of the Erie, Ruskin, Fla., and global communities we serve. The successful candidate will minimally possess a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field and have more than five years in senior leadership roles with increasing responsibility leading finance and human resources departments.
