Department / Division Introduction

The Program includes a theoretical base of general education and sciences courses together with a range of nursing theory and practical courses designed to prepare graduates to be eligible for the New Jersey State Licensure Examination for Registered Professional Nurses (NCLEX–RN).

Position Summary / Job Description

Instructor-Tenure Track, Nursing Faculty and Facilitator for Weekend/ Evenings is a full-time, position that will be responsible for successfully performing the professional duties of both Didactic and Clinical instruction. The position also participates in College and Nursing Program Committees & regular standing meetings that takes place 2-3 times monthly on Mondays, at the beginning of every semester as well as the end of the school year. This position requires availability for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays; in addition to Monday afternoons (twice a month), and on occasion, Thursday evenings.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. Two-years of college-level teaching experience, preferably at the community college level. Experience teaching in the specific discipline. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrates excellence in teaching and the ability to teach students from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
