    The position will be teaching: BIO 325.201 Microbiology lecture and lab.

    Day(s) and Hours: Lecture Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 to 2:20 and Laboratory on Wednesday from 9:00 - 11:50.

    The class begins the week of January 23 and goes through May 10th.

    Course Description: Course themes include microbial cell biology, genetics, and the impact of microorganisms on humans. Emphasis is placed on epidemiology, emerging infections, and a global perspective of public health. Incorporates student centered active learning in classroom and laboratory settings. Prerequisite: BIO 100, CHE 113. Fee.

    Minimum Requirement and qualifications:

      Ph.D. in biological sciences preferred, Masters and/or extensive industry experience consideredAbility to teach the course themes including microbial cell biology, genetics, and the impact of microorganisms on humans.Must incorporate student-centered active learning in classroom and laboratory settings.The instructor will teach the lecture and the lab portion including some or all laboratory preparation and clean up.Prior teaching or presentation experience is desirable.Evidence of experience in the field is beneficial.Ability to teach the class from start to finish with college-level studentsAbility to design and administer assessments to measure student learning.Ability to challenge students in critical and creative thinking.Ability to advance students' communication skills through course format
