This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position.

Stockton University seeks a Founding Program Chair and Faculty member for its Master’s in Public Health program. The candidate will be responsible for providing leadership to the program, seeking CEPH accreditation, managing all aspects of the program inside and outside of the classroom, and working with the school leadership in promoting the program.

• Offer courses in the area of Public Health and General Studies curriculum
• Serve as a preceptor to students
• Participate in professional activities, scholarship and /or creative activities as appropriate to the discipline
• Provide service to the university, community, and/or profession
• Serve as the Founding Program Chair for the Master’s in Public Health, performing duties including, but not limited to:
  • Seek and obtain CEPH accreditation for the MPH program
  • Develop, maintain, and expand local partnerships, student placement, and other opportunities in conjunction with staff who have responsibilities in these areas
  • Meet with the Dean and the Office of Enrollment Management to discuss goals and objectives for the program, manage budgetary requests and review progress of the graduate program enrollment
  • Work with the Office of Enrollment Management to review student admission files and render a decision in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all external degree program reporting requirements are met; coordinate and complete any reports needed for achievement and maintenance of program accreditation and other external requirements
  • Other duties as defined by the Stockton University Chairs' MOA
• Perform other duties as designated by the Dean, School of Health Sciences and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Required Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in public health or a related health discipline
• Previous experience with teaching public health courses
• Knowledge and experience with CEPH accreditation process
• Significant scholarship experience in the public health field at the national, state, or local level

Preferred Qualifications:

• Meets the qualifications for Associate Professor at Stockton University
• MPH degree from an accredited program or school of public health
• Experience teaching graduate level courses
• Evidence to support Research and/scholarship
• Experience working with national, regional, state and/or local partners to enhance the MPH program
