Associate Director of the School of Online Education

Reporting to the Chief Online Officer (“COO”) of the School of Online Education, the Associate Director 2 (“AD”) leads the day-to-day management of online courses and programs offered by Kean University. Under the direction of the COO, the AD manages the tactical operation of the School’s online learning programs including course setup and delivery; policy conformance and standards; and related faculty- and student-facing communications and training. The role also assists in managing the daily operations of the School’s Instructional Design team; participates in the development and effectuation of goals, policies and procedures; and does related work as required. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and three years of professional experience as an online learning administrator in higher education or education (or the commercial/private sector equivalent) is required. Master’s degree in a related field (Instructional Design, Educational Technology, etc.) and six or more years of experience is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
