Nature of Work

The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine’s mission is to provide outstanding, cutting-edge clinical care, research, and state-of-the-art training. The Department is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified general otolaryngologist to join the full time faculty. Responsibilities include primarily clinical service, with some teaching and/or research. The primary location for this position is the CU Medicine Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery practice located in Highlands Ranch. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and successful community-based practice serving patients in the south metro Denver market and beyond.

This faculty position will report directly to the Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.

Supervision Exercised

This position exercises no formal supervision of employees.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at:

Assistant Professor: The salary range for this position has been established at $250,000 - $325,000.

Associate Professor: The salary range for this position has been established at $275,000 - $350,000.

Professor: The salary range for this position has been established at $300,000 - $375,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications  

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Assistant Professor:

    Doctor of Medicine degreeBoard Certified or Board Qualified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (If Board Qualified, must receive Board Certification within 2 years of hire)Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license
Associate Professor:

  • Doctor of Medicine degree
  • Board Certified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery
  • 4+ years of experience at rank or equivalent experience 
  • Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license
Professor:

  • Doctor of Medicine degree
  • Board Certified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery
  • 7+ years of experience at rank or equivalent experience 
  • Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license
