- Provides direct operational and administrative support to the Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Emergency Medicine.Manages, coordinates, and executes special projects for the Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Emergency Medicine; responsible for managing the timeline, budget and deliverables associated with special projects.Manages the operational needs of the Department’s research programs.Coordinates Departmental meetings for research and administrative priorities.Manages and coordinates the multi-departmental Scientist Training and Intensive Mentorship (STIM) program and the Department of Emergency Medicine’s research implementation meeting, emergency medicine research faculty meeting, and visits from high-level external faculty, senior leaders, and executives.Develops PowerPoint presentations, written executive summaries, administrative-related research documents; adds additional content/detail based on high-level descriptions. Serves as the administrative and communication lead for the Department of Emergency Medicine’s research activities, including website updates and social media. Develops monthly reports and analyzes Departmental research productivity (including funding and publications), infrastructure development, meeting attendance, STIM participation, and Department Research meetingsManages database and monthly reports for the Department of Emergency Medicine including metrics of performance of publications, research funding, new contracts, meetings, and site visits on campus for the Vice Chair of Research and the Vice Chair of RecruitmentArranges corporate travel and meetings by developing itineraries and agendas, booking transportation, arranging lodging, coordinating meeting accommodations, and assisting with reimbursements.Records, transcribes, and distributes meeting minutes and summaries in a timely manner.In-person executive-level general support and back up scheduler for the Vice Chair for Research.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting , education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution Two (2) years of executive or high-level administrative experience in an academic, health care, and/or business-related environment, which includes one (1) year of program and/or project management experience.
- Five (5) years of executive or high-level administrative experience in an academic, health care, and/or business-related environment.Grants, contracts, and/or finance experience.Professional and progressively responsible project management experience.Experience making travel arrangements and travel reimbursements. Experience working in an academic medical environment.Experience in event planning.Experience in media/communications, including social media
