General Description / Primary Purpose:

The Employer Relations Outreach Coordinator is responsible for cultivating new relationships with regional and national firms while strengthening existing employer partnerships to increase hiring opportunities for UNF students and alumni.

S/he will partner with corporate, nonprofit and government agencies to create employer centered recruitment packages, including organizing employer on-campus interviews, overseeing various career related programing engagement, and creating customized sponsorships to provide increased employer campus visibility.

The coordinator will deliver first-class customer service to employers across these types of engagements to create strong connections between employers and UNF students, staff, faculty, and alumni.

Job Function:

Build, manage, and facilitate on-campus engagement packages to meet employer hiring needs. (65%)

• Meet with companies weekly to educate employers on ways to engage students across the university, helping to establish customized student engagement packages finding solutions to meet company hiring needs.

• Advise potential and current employers on marketing strategies that will help build their on-campus corporate brand. Collaborate with various university faculty, staff, and student organizations to ensure employer visits meet campus stakeholder and employer needs. Optimize, grow, and track employer on-campus engagement strategies with stakeholders.

• Oversee all on-campus employer interviews with students, managing both employer/student scheduling, booking and setting up interview rooms, and notifying office staff of employer schedules.

• Coordinate the UNF Employer Summit event, including managing company registrations, ordering food, providing external marketing and email communications, and overseeing other operational logistics.

• Meet criteria established for employer development goals, maintaining records, and submitting reports as needed. Weekly update and maintain our Contact Relationship Management (CRM) showing evolutions of the relationship for each assigned employer, and strategies for enhancing/maintaining those relationship. Collect and analyze employer data points across events, student hires, and compiling reports.

• Respond to incoming employer inquiries made into the Career Services office, namely responding to email (hire@unf.edu) and answer/returning phone calls from the 904.620.HIRE jobs line.

Grow the number of new employers recruiting UNF students, delivering first-class customer service. (25%)

• Provide outreach to identify, prospect, and recruit new regional and national companies to hire UNF students, aligning employers with both student career hiring expectations and university hiring goals. Create targeted employer outreach campaign strategies to specific industries in step with the Director of Employer Relations.

• Assist with creating new and managing ongoing employer sponsorships, especially operationalizing existing partnerships with the Osprey Readiness Career Services staff through on-campus career programing and events.

• Develop strategies to maintain high levels of employer satisfaction and outstanding customer service, potentially taking prospective employers to lunch or coffee, sending hand-written and personalized follow-up notes, and arranging gifts and tokens of appreciation.

• Assist Career Services staff members during peak employer traffic events, including career fairs, the UNF Career Week, employer site visits, and company information sessions.

Required Qualifications:

A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization; or a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of experience directly related to the job functions.
