Job Description:Innovate, plan, and contribute to the coordination of family engagement events designed to facilitate relationship building and support opportunities both in Gainesville and beyond through Family Preview (orientation), Fall Family Weekend, Spring Family Weekend, and New Student Convocation Family Reception
Partner with Division of Student Life Marketing and Communication on developing, producing and delivering communication plan pieces including but not limited to:
- Monthly newsletter for all UF Family Members
- Annual Family Calendar
- Family engagement social media accounts and manage family email account
- Conduct continuous outreach to parent and family members to ensure all families feel welcome and connected to UF from admission to graduation
Contribute to general office strategic planning related to the successful transition of new students and engagement of parents and family members.
Collaborate with Student Life’s Director of Student Philanthropy and Donor Relations to support the management of the Gator Too Membership program; facilitate membership intake process, and planning the Legacy Pinning Ceremony
Manage customer service and communication aspects of the parent and family member experience, including but not limited to GatorToo membership program, Family Weekend registration, and general questions.
Coordinate recording, producing, and dissemination of parent and family podcast series (Chomp Chats)
Engage in strategic planning for, assessment activities, creation and updating of website and technology related to family programs
Manage budget for family programming, including but not limited to Fall and Spring Family Weekend
Contributes to the division and university through active participation on committees and division-wide initiatives. Example opportunities:
- Emergency dean on call
- Event support team
- Conduct committee
- Student welcome events
$45,000
Minimum Requirements:Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, or related field. Qualified applicants should have graduate or professional experience in student affairs, with significant experience in a program or service area. Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience working with new student programs preferred.
