Chief Objective of Position:

The Manager of Athletics Annual Giving and Tickets will oversee the daily operations of athletic annual giving initiatives and all athletic ticket sales functions by planning and implementing all athletic annual giving activities in coordination with the Office of Advancement and directing the daily operations of the athletic ticketing office to ensure a high level of customer service to all patrons. This position will ensure excellent customer service is provided for all donors and ticket customers by recruiting and training student employees to support daily operations in a professional manner.

Work Tasks:

  • Oversee the athletic annual giving program to increase donor engagement.
  • Collaborates with the Advancement team, specifically the Director of Annual Giving and Director of Major and Special Gifts, to support the overall goals of the Office of Advancement, focusing on parent and alumni annual support for athletics.
  • Meet weekly with the advancement leadership and annual giving teams to ensure proper coordination of athletic annual giving activities
  • Develops athletic advancement communications in coordination with the Office of Advancement.
  • Responsible for annual football and basketball season ticket campaigns and coordinating all ticket transactions for athletics donors.
  • Promotes and supports CNU Day, the annual one-day fundraising and social media campaigns for the University.
  • Administers sport-specific fundraising campaigns that support special initiatives that may utilize crowd funding, telethon and direct solicitation strategies.
  • Develop goals and strategies to increase annual donor participation in the Captains Crew and increase gift revenue, year-over-year.
  • Manage regular reporting of athletic annual giving activities.
  • Cultivate relationships with ticket customers to enhance the customer experience.
  • Create and implement a marketing plan to increase season and individual game tickets sales.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise all student personnel to staff the athletic ticket office, manage ticket sales at football and basketball games and other athletic ticketed events.
  • Responsible for maintaining and implementing ticket sales through the TicketReturn platform specifically, customer contact and ticket information and online ticket sales.
  • Develop a strategy for effectively communicating information to ticket customers to enhance customer service and engagement.
  • Assist with department special events such as donor receptions and promotional events.
  • Direct all day-of-game sales for ticketed CNU athletic events including football, basketball, conference and NCAA tournament events for all sports.
  • Accurately reconcile, manage and track ticket sales in accordance with the Assistant Director of Athletics – Business Operations and University policies.
  • This position is designated as a “responsible employee” who has the authority to redress sexual violence, who has the duty to report incidents of sexual violence or other student misconduct, or who a student could reasonably believe has this authority or duty.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA's) required:

Must have outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise uncompromising judgment and discretion. Must be able to work flexible hours to include nights and weekends. Computer skills that promote exceptional communication and data management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA's) preferred:

Skills in Microsoft Office including word and excel; ability to interact effectively with a disparate collection of internal and external constituencies; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Required Education:

Must have a Masters Degree in a related field; or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and work experience at a level which equates to an advanced degree.

Experience Required:

Experience with databases, spreadsheets and word processing. Proven success in customer service and sales.

Experience Preferred:

Prior experience in a college or university setting. Experience in utilizing of ticketing and donor software. Experience with Microsoft applications to include Excel. Experience working with donors and fundraising. Experience with event management and ticket sales. Experience in strategic planning and marketing related to fundraising. Experience supervising employees.
