Job Description Summary:

Position Responsibilities:

  • The Coordinator represents, along with the Chair, Executive Officer, and Faculty, the Department in admission and advising webinars, Clarkson visit days, and other student events.
  • Collaborate with administrative team and university stakeholders in the development and implementation of more efficient policies and procedure.
  • Coordinates all tenure, promotion, retention, and post-tenure review processes with the chairs. This includes checking the files for completeness and adherence to the university operations manual. Assisting faculty and the file preparer on file format and requirements.
  • Preparation of all CSoE Faculty contracts which includes but is not limited to: Adjunct, Courtesy, Research, Visiting Scholar
  • Review all new and continuing contracts and payroll authorizations; verifying Institute and University policy regarding pre-tenure period, sabbatical leave, leave of absence, start-up packages, and any other special conditions.
  • Maintain electronic calendar and coordinate travel, for Dean and Associate Dean as needed.
  • Assist with preparation of reports as required, including Annual Report and Accreditation Report.
  • Update the CSoE and Department websites and other marketing materials.
  • Enter Job Postings in PeopleAdmin
  • Utilize technology to facilitate communication, increase efficiencies, improve services, and produce data for assessment and continuous improvement driven initiatives.
  • Assist with annual processes of content management
  • Accreditation: Support accreditation activities of all departments within the CSoE, including compiling and analyzing data and preparation of the report.
  • Create, organize and maintain all files related to students and faculty.
  • Provide guidance to students and faculty on current university policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a point person for the CSoE related inquiries/projects.
  • Assisting Faculty with purchase requisitions, expense accounts, and budgetary questions.
  • Assisting in the coordination of CSoE annual events.
  • The Coordinator is responsible for office management and academic support operations. They will be responsible for working across departments to assess course scheduling in support of student achievement, working with faculty to implement practices that enhance student engagement and persistence, and assisting with department course scheduling.
  • The Coordinator will work with the dean’s office to disseminate and advise on best practices in developmental advising, schedule coordination, and shared resource development.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager of CSoE Administrative Operations.
  • Performance of above duties require you to be at work on campus.

Minimum Qualifications: :

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in related field or High School diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience related to the position

Minimum Experience:
  • 5 years related experience with progressive responsibility in a fast paced office setting that demands independent judgment and handling of confidential records.
  • Excellent customer-service and interpersonal skills. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse constituencies and accomplish written and oral directions as necessary.
  • Must have the capability to plan, coordinate, analyze, execute and document specific administrative and management functions with long term goals in mind. Ability to function as part of a team, handle multiple priorities and possess strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with no supervision and possess sensitivity for staff, student and faculty needs.
  • Demonstrate commitment to diversity and the ability to serve as a spokesperson for the mission and values of the institution.

Preferred Qualifications: :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 8-10 years of experience related to the position.

Preferred Experience:
  • 8 plus years’ experience
  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures, organization, practices and protocol.
  • Knowledge and experience with various university software.

Physical Demands:
