The Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology has an opening for a full-time Assistant Professor.

Position Description:

Division of Medical Oncology, Fulltime general Medical Oncologist/Hematologist for community cancer practices.  Primary site of practice will be UCHealth Lone Tree Medical Center, with some cross coverage of Hospital Cherry Creek Medical Center, and possibly Highlands Ranch Hospital. Diagnostic radiology services on-site & will practice fulltime in Community facilities w/faculty appointment. Infusion center and radiation oncology facilities are also on-site.  Duties: Clinical work seeing patients daily; 1:6 call coverage for community practice patients (UCHealth Cherry Creek, Lone Tree, and Highlands Ranch Medical Center);  Work w/Service Line Director to expand the cancer practice; Attend Multi-Departmental Clinics & CME conferences regularly; Assist w/investigator-initiated, cooperative group/industry trials; Involved in management of critical pathway & case management across the continuum of care; Team member providing healthcare, interacting w/professional colleagues to provide comprehensive care as a responsible professional; Attend via conference call monthly Clinical Affairs meetings, tumor boards 1/month, present Fellows Conference 1/year, assist w/Fellows interviews, work w/Administrator on clinical data & other duties as assigned by Division Head; Maintains accurate, legible, & confidential records using the UCH EPIC system.

 

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at: $350,000 – $400,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed MD or DO from accredited Institution in U.S., or equivalent, if a non-U.S. graduate, must complete ECFMG certification & be qualified to obtain a temporary CO Medical license. Eligible to be credentialed by the institutional processes established for oversight for advanced professional medical practice. Board certified in Oncology &/or Hematology

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer 3 or more years of experience in the Community setting in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
