The Department of Computer Science at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks applications for a Graduate Program Coordinator.
The successful candidate will be expected to administer all aspects of our Graduate Studies Programs, including but not limited to: reporting and data management, graduate student seating and lab assignments, academic records, new graduate student orientation, special events and graduation, coverage of the front desk, hiring of Graduate Teaching Assistants, and working collaboratively with the Engineering Admissions office, International Studies Office, and other constituents across Grounds, as well as other duties as needed by the department.
Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma and four years of student related administrative support experience. Bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience. The Graduate Program Coordinator must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as required.

This position is based in Charlottesville, VA. The position will be in the office 24-40 hours a week. Depending on the work being performed and the incumbent’s performance, there could be potential of a hybrid or telework environment.
This position will remain open until filled. This is a Non-Exempt level, benefited position. This position will not sponsor applicants for work visas. This position is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance. Salary commensurate with education and experience. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment.

COVID Vaccination Requirement
Due to the scope of President Biden’s Executive Order 14042 issued in early September, all University employees, including remote employees, must receive their final vaccination dose by January 4, 2022, unless they have a University-approved religious or medical exemption.
