The Department of Economics, Business, and Finance seeks adjunct faculty members to teach sections of Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, and Principles of Management during our Fall Term that commences August 25, 2022, and concludes December 15, 2022. The department will consider adjunct faculty with interest in teaching one or all of these courses.

Human Resource Management is a 300-level course that focuses on the strategic approach to human resource management by highlighting how organizations can align their human resource management practices to their strategy to gain a competitive advantage. Specifically, students learn about recruitment, selection, training, performance management, reward systems, and other employment relations practices, and how organizations can design them to attract, motivate, and retain the best talent.

Organizational Behavior is a 300-level course that includes theory, research, and practical application of Organizational Behavior. The goal of this course is to help students understand what predicts and influences employee attitudes and behavior to improve organizational effectiveness. Topics include: personality differences, work motivation, leadership, influence processes, and group dynamics.

Principles of Management is a 200-level course introduces important organizational and management concepts and applications, and their relevance to individual and organizational goal attainment. The course revolves around the main functions of managers: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling.

Courses can be scheduled based on your availability, but each course generally meets two or three times a week. A Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Management, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or a related field is required. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is strongly preferred.
