    Position Summary

    Chatham University is seeking applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Biology to begin Fall 2022. Primary responsibilities including teaching introductory cell biology, as well as other courses in the candidate's area of expertise that align with departmental teaching needs for Biology students. Preference given to those individuals who can teach Developmental Biology, Immunology, and/or Histology. Additional responsibilities may include Pre-Health (medicine, dental, veterinary) advising for undergraduate and graduate (Master's) students. The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain an active research program.


    Qualifications

    Completion of a Ph.D. in biology is required. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching and post-doctoral research experience. Experience working with diverse groups is desirable.
