Adjunct Instructor for Welding
Type of Position:Faculty
Responsibilities:Adjunct Instructor will teach welding techniques, welding technology and welding workplace safety.
Qualifications:High School Diploma or G.E.D. required, minimum of five years experience in the welding field, teaching experience preferred but not required. Must be a combination welder (STICK weld and TIG weld), as well as being able to MIG weld. Print reading skills and being able to fit pipe is a plus. Previous or current welding certifications a plus. Basic computer literacy required. Must be able to work flexible schedules including days and evenings. Requires sitting, standing walking, talking and seeing.Requires some lifting and moving heavy objects. Requires some stooping and bending, operating welding and associated equipment. Must have a valid drivers license. Must comply with established college policies and standards.
This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215.
