Position Summary
Dominican University of California is seeking an adjunct professor with expertise in physical chemistry laboratory techniques. We offer a two semester physical chemistry course sequence for science majors which includes one lecture section and one lab section.



Responsibilities
  • Teach a one unit Physical Chemistry Lab course at an undergraduate level for Science Majors
  • Evaluate and grade student work and provide feedback to students
  • Mentor and advise students on the progress of their projects and coursework
  • Uphold academic performance standards and integrity

  • Course Descriptions
  • Physical Chemistry Lab description This is the lab component to our year-long physical chemistry course. This lab course supplements the lecture and covers topics such adiabatic expansion, molecular simulations, thermodynamics, kinetics, and the interactions of light and matter. This is a hands-on laboratory experience for students who typically work in small groups.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Masters Degree or PhD in Physical Chemistry or related scientific field

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching at the undergraduate level
  • Experience with related disciplines such as Quantitative Analysis and Spectroscopic Techniques
