DESCRIPTION

The Business School at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) is seeking a Lecturer in BLAW 3050 and/or BUSN 6540 from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure-track positions will be made. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50% FTE) and will be made semester-by-semester as needed.

 

The lecturer selected will teach classes in the Business School at the University of Colorado Denver. Classes taught will generally be limited to three credit hours. These may include lectures in all teaching modes (in person, hybrid, online, remote). Compensation will range from $4,915-$5,360 depending upon course level.

Salary and Benefits:

Compensation will range from $4,915-$5,360 depending upon course level..

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

J.D., LL.B.  or higher degree in law. Active law license issued by any U. S. state or territory.  Recent legal practice or legal teaching experience in some or all of the following topics: Agency Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Business Ethics, Business Organizations. Constitutional Law, Contract Law, Courts and Court Procedures, Employment Law, Intellectual Property Law, Real Property Law, Tort Law. 

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Both legal practice experience and experience teaching business law and business ethics.

Prior experience teaching at the collegiate level in the classroom and online.

Available for day and evening teaching assignments.
