Job Description:

Under the direction of the Technical Director, UFHCC Cancer Informatics Shared Resource, the Evaluation Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining an evaluation and tracking system for the purpose of evaluating effectiveness, quality, and performance of community outreach and engagement initiatives within the UFHCC Office of Community Outreach and Engagement. Faculty are responsible for developing the metrics of impact and success for COE initiatives. The Coordinator is responsible for recommending metrics and for those metrics that are selected, conducting data collection, ongoing monitoring and summary information about the metrics that will be used to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of ongoing and new cancer-related community outreach and engagement initiatives. The Evaluation Coordinator will communicate and collaborate with leadership of the Office for Community Outreach and Engagement and UFHCC senior administrative leadership as well as the other key faculty/staff within the Center to coordinate and integrate metrics designed to effectively meet the community outreach and engagement goals and aims that the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement is facilitating and defined catchment area priorities of the UFHCC. The incumbent must present a high degree of professionalism, discretion, critical thinking, and exercise independent and prudent judgment when completing assigned tasks and responsibilities.In your new role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Incumbent will be responsible for executing data collection, management, and quality assessment, and analysis on requests and projects either requested of the UFHCC Office of Community Outreach and Engagement or required for NCI reporting purposes by Cancer Center members, leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Using software tools for business intelligence and analytics, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and organizational analyses (e.g. Microsoft Office products), provides reports of analyses to decision makers. Will also be responsible for developing reporting mechanisms via dashboards. Tabulates, analyzes and prepares reports documenting both process and outcome results for the evaluation of community outreach and engagement activities.
  • Incumbent will facilitate and assist in program planning management and policy development activities for the UFHCC Office of Community Outreach and Engagement, including analysis of ongoing projects and projected growth/development, and propose action plans through implementation.

This is an experienced, professional level position, ideal for candidates with established careers in research project management and metrics development. Expected Salary:

$48,000 - $60,000; Commensurate with Education and Experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires a valid Florida issued class E Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Education and Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in health sciences, health administration, public health, health planning, or related field strongly preferred.

- Experience with planning, executing and evaluating programs, meetings and community engagement activities successfully.

- Significant experience in project management, time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage details of multiple and complex projects with firm schedules and competing deadlines.

- Experience developing and maintaining presentations and executive reports.

- Experience working within the University of Florida is a plus, but not required.

- Project management certification highly desirable.

Preferred Experience:

- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar program management role and/or program development responsibilities in a complex academic/research environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Demonstrated quantitative and data analytic skills, with ability to generate, distill and synthesize aggregate data into meaningful reports on outcomes for presentations and distribution to UFHCC senior leadership groups and local government agencies

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across functions to optimize performance and drive projects to completion.

- Experience with diverse ethnic, socio-economic and educational populations.

- Demonstrated experience in meeting management, group facilitation and presentation skills.

- Proven decision-making skills and ability to problem-solve creatively, using critical thinking skills involving conflict resolution and team building to develop realistic solutions and recommendations to meet the needs and address the interests of internal and external constituencies.

- Exceptional oral and written communications skills required.

- Expert proficiency in all MS Office applications. Experience with project management software a plus.

- Excellent organizational and planning skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, anticipate and identify conflicts, and meet deadlines.

- Demonstrated appreciation and ease of working in a culturally diverse organization.

- Proven ability to work well in a demanding, fast-paced deadline-driven work atmosphere with the ability to assess the environment and adjust plans according to situation.

- Demonstrated collaborative skills with internal and external stakeholders to strategically plan deliver assigned projects.
