Job Summary

New York Film Academy is looking for an experienced IT professional with solid communication, organization, and technical skills; to help support needs of both students and staff. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years experience troubleshooting a wide spectrum of issues in a high-volume, mixed (Apple and Windows) user environment. We are currently looking to fill the 1pm - 10pm shift Monday - Friday and occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Work efficiently with users to identify root cause of issues with hardware, software, and IT services, and resolve those issues quickly and document solutions as needed
  • Field requests for access to hardware, software, internal resources (such as printers, file shares, and other services), as well as enquiries regarding the best process for accomplishing business goals within our IT environment, and direct these as appropriate (including to other teams)
  • Communicate clearly and professionally through email, on the phone, and in-person
  • Track all issues
  • Support IT services including, but not limited to, printing, office telephones, projectors, and network access
  • Build, configure, and deploy user computers, phones, and accessories.
  • Create and/or update team-internal and user-facing documentation as required
  • Assist in developing new IT processes and automation to address evolving business requirements; includes taking on longer projects with minimal supervision
  • Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot audio-visual systems for company meetings and speaker events, including web-casting where required, using established processes
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years experience working in a fast-paced IT environment
  • Ability to manage tickets, work, and time with minimal supervision
  • Solid analytical, research, and problem solving abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of all recent versions of Apple and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience supporting Apple Macintosh and Windows machines
  • Fluency in Apple and Windows hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Proven organizational, customer service, and communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to manage user expectations appropriately and proactively
