Description:

The School of Business Administration (SBA) at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) invites applications for a 10-month faculty position in Management Information Systems to teach undergraduate courses in following areas of interest: Management Information Systems, Applications Development, IS Infrastructure, IS Security, Statistics, Project Management, Data Analytics/Data Mining, Systems Analysis & Design. The position is flexible to accommodate other teaching and research interests.

The School of Business, accredited by AACSB, offers undergraduate degrees, and currently serves approximately 2,700 students. GGC emphasizes teaching and student engagement. In addition, candidates must have a commitment to research which leads to quality refereed publications. Service to the university and the profession is also expected. Business experience is preferred.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

GGC seeks applications for an assistant professor faculty position to begin August 1, 2022. Applicants should hold the doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in their discipline before the start date. GGC is an institution that values and encourages innovative teaching. In addition to teaching, applicants are expected to actively participate in scholarly activities, extensive student engagement and to contribute in the area of service to the college and community. Advising and mentoring are expected of all faculty.

  • Applications are invited from candidates with Ph.D./D.B.A. degrees in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields from AACSB-accredited schools. ABDs in advanced dissertation stages will be considered as well.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellent teaching and research.
