Departmental Objective:

Effectively implement the University president’s vision for a world class campus that attracts, inspires, and bonds people to CNU. We will monitor and maintain all existing and future landscape plantings and ensure they are well maintained to the highest standards. Ensure that these primary duties will emphasize aesthetic appearance and value, is environmentally responsible, and economically feasible.

Purpose of the Position:

This position will be a working crew member, coordinating with supervisors, each daily task. It is responsible for the maintenance of all existing and future landscape plantings on campus in designated areas to enhance the visual beauty of the University while promoting healthy vigorous plant growth through environmentally sustainable methods.

Basic knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance

Good communication skills

Ability to read and write

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required :

Education Required: Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Experience Required: Experience working outside performing landscape maintenance tasks.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Preferred :

Education Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent. VDACS Registered Pesticide Applicator Technician.

Experience Preferred: Experience working at a landscape company.

Salary Information:

Starting at $27,040 (commensurate with education and experience)
