Job Summary
Oversee administrative and logistical support to assigned degreed and/or non-degreed academic program offerings of an Institute academic unit. Facilitate the various actions required to successfully offer and conduct academic programs. These actions range from student recruitment, admission and retention to program development and outreach. Program assignments are generally considered to be complex or advanced in content and objective. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing performance and providing feedback and making pay recommendations.
This position will interact on a consistent basis with: academic administrators, faculty members, prospective students, enrolled students.
This position typically will advise and counsel: prospects, students.
This position will supervise: academic advising and administrative staff members.
- Oversee administrative and logical support to Evening MBA Program for Scheller College of Business. Position will supervise at least one full-time employee as well as student employees. Regular evening working hours and occasional weekend hours will be required. Student Engagement: This position will be responsible for directing student engagement activities for the Evening MBA Program including advising student government (GEMS), clubs and committees; collecting and analyzing student feedback; and coordinating student focus groups and program meetings.Program Operations: This position will oversee operations including data management related to the Evening MBA Program including rankings, readmissions, retention review, and degree audits. Review program processes and procedures, recommend modifications as appropriate. Responsible for Evening MBA Orientation and serve as Graduation support. Work with prospective students to schedule interviews, maintain applicant records, schedule events, and coordinate onboarding webinars.Advising: This position is responsible for registering and advising for a portion of the Evening MBA students. Additionally, this person will oversee select advising events and non-MBA registration.Share responsibility for the development of the budget for the Evening MBA Program and International Practicums Program.Scheduling: This position will conduct Scheduling Review of Evening MBA courses with Director; schedule entry in Banner; and assist Director with exam scheduling.Alumni Engagement: This position will serve as a member of the Alumni Committee as well as the Student Alumni Committee. Related to these responsibilities, this position will work with marketing to coordinate alumni newsletters, and select alumni events. Will lead the Full-time MBA Class Captains and Alumni Ambassadors.Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Degrees required for this job: Bachelor's Degree in Academic Affairs, Business Management, Education or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Years of experience required for this job: Six to seven years of job-related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesThis job requires advanced knowledge and skills related to educational program management and administration; supervision, customer service, oral and written communications; organization; multi-tasking; maintaining accounting records; and, use of basic and specialized computer applications
