Responsibilities

Teach courses from among current undergraduate and graduate music theory offerings and/or in the candidate’s area of expertise. Maintain an active agenda of research and publication in the field of music theory. Participate in activities related to the academic mission of the University, including service on committees, student recruiting and advising, and administration of area exams.

Qualifications

Completed doctorate in Music Theory or equivalent at time of appointment and university-level teaching experience are required. We are seeking a dynamic teacher and scholar whose academic interests complement those of our current faculty.

Preferred

A strong record of scholarly achievement and ongoing research is preferred.
