Job Details
- Provide advice to students on a range of issues, including exploring fellowship opportunities and preparing for ethical and effective service experiences.
- Develop and facilitate trainings for students considering and participating in public service fellowship/internship opportunities; facilitate program cohort groups.
- Administer international-focused fellowship programs; evaluate and recommend decisions on program eligibility; collaborate with Global Risk Management and other campus departments.
- Collaborate with Cardinal Quarter team to help resolve program issues and concerns, interpret policies and mediate complex and sensitive issues.
- Develop and implement plans for outreach efforts to effectively market Cardinal Quarter opportunities. Plan and develop orientations, fairs and other external functions.
- Resolve multi-dimensional matters in response to students in crisis, at risk, or who have other program issues; counsel students on sensitive and confidential issues.
- Develop, analyze, influence and review, policies, processes and programs by incorporating feedback and trend data learned from first-line interactions with students. Analyze effectiveness and make recommendations for future programs.
- Lead, create and contribute to development of diversity, equity, and inclusion programming and initiatives for undergraduate students involved with fellowship programs.
- Assist with oversight of the campus online marketing and application management platform (SOLO); manage data collection and reporting via SOLO.
- May train and supervise student peer advisors and temporary workers.
- Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience
- Strong communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences.
- Facilitation and public speaking skills and experience
- Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Advanced customer service skills
- Basic analysis and problem-solving skills
- Relevant computer systems/technology experience
- Ability to ensure and apply compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.
- Public service interest and experience
- Internship/fellowship experience
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Experience engaging with diverse student audiences (e.g. new students, diverse majors, Greek organizations, athletes, community centers, student groups, etc.)
- Willingness to work some weekend and evening hours
- Knowledge of Cardinal Service and Stanford student life
