Skill in effectively directing the work of others

Skill in establishing and maintaining working relationships with internal and external constituents

Ability to work under time constraints and meet assigned deadlines

Ability to produce aspects of an ESPN and in-venue broadcast

Experience with audio/video production and post-production utilizing current technologies

Understanding of production workflow from pre-production through post and digital deployment

Experience with Adobe Creative suite or similar non-linear editing software

Ability to work nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with additional consideration for Masters’ degree

Experience operating Daktronics video display systems

Experience specifically in sports television broadcast production

Experience operating Ross Carbonite (or comparable) live video production system

Video production and editing experience in an intercollegiate athletic program

Job Description:

Texas State University is seeking applications for a Broadcast Productions Manager (Digital Media Specialist) for the Department of Athletics. This position is full time and benefits eligible.

The Broadcast Productions Manager will manage, create and execute all Texas State Athletics productions including game broadcasts, features, content, commercials and special projects. This position is responsible for ensuring that all productions maintain and adhere to the philosophies and regulations of the Department of Athletics, Texas State University, the Sun Belt Conference and the NCAA.

Job Duties:

The Broadcast Productions Manager will set-up, produce and direct all live game video broadcasts including ESPN+ and in-venue broadcasts. The Broadcast Productions Manager will recruit, hire and staff personnel for all broadcasts; coordinate production crew and talent scheduling; work in conjunction with the university to educate, establish and oversee student production crews; manage and assist in the production of original content; create and distribute game highlights for Texas State Athletics digital media platforms, social media and other media outlets; manage and oversee the complete video library for the Department of Athletics; work with the Associate Athletic Director of Marketing in purchasing and maintenance for all broadcast equipment and perform other duties as assigned.
