Job Summary:

Temporary, part-time instructors needed starting Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters.
Part-time Musical Theatre Instructor(s) requested starting Fall semester 2022. Expected courses in rotating semesters include DRA 111 – Survey of Musical Theatre, DRA 199 – Musical Theatre Dance, DRA 223 – Performing Musical Theatre, and/or DRA 224 – Musical Theatre Auditions. Other DRA coursework may be available, depending on need.

Essential Functions:

Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Drama, Theatre, or related or any Master’s with 18 graduate semester credits in one of the disciplines.

Experience helping to create a theatrical production in any theatrical discipline, on stage or off.

Demonstrated effectiveness working with populations having diverse values, and/or coming from varied cultures and backgrounds.

Desired Qualifications:

Teaching experience, both face-to-face and online.

Demonstrated effectiveness in working as a member of an ensemble with attention to detail and an ability to develop students in line with an artistic company vision.

Significant experience helping to create a theatrical production as in any theatrical discipline, on stage or off.

Work Schedule:

Various Drama courses, days and times to be determined.
