- Validation of findings from multi-omic models by targeted sequencing (DNA methylation, chromatin accessibility and transcriptome) on the Illumina MiSeq platform.
- Functional validation of findings from multi-omic models by using CRISPR-dCas9 tools to manipulate methylation, chromatin accessibility and transcriptome in cell culture.
- Analysis of single cell and bulk epigenomic and transcriptomic datasets, in collaboration with other team members.
- Application of multi-omic integration methods, in collaboration with other team members.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Ph.D. or equivalent in the biological sciences.
- Minimum of 2 years of mentored research
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work in a supervised/mentored research environment
- Demonstrated expertise in presentation of results – both didactic and publications
- Must be able to work independently and have advanced problem solving skills
- Proven experience and familiarity with genetics and genomics
- Proven experience and familiarity with primary cell culture and molecular biology
- Proven experience and familiarity with CRISPR-Cas9 and CRISPR-dCas9 tools
- Some experience in the analysis of -omic data, including DNA methylation, chromatin accessibility and transcriptomic datasets
- Primary cell culture
