Description
As a faculty member of the School of Medicine, the position is expected to contribute to the teaching needs of the Department and the School. This may include, but is not limited to, preparing and delivering lectures, serving as a preceptor, and providing one-on-one instruction. Attending anesthesiologists, as faculty members, are also expected to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the specialty by way of clinical or laboratory research.The position is full-time, at-will, and will be assigned clinical duties at the Children’s Hospital Colorado. The candidate must have a strong working and theoretical knowledge of Anesthesiology and Peri-operative Medicine as well as experience in teaching Anesthesiology. To be considered for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor the candidate will have completed ACGME fellowship training in clinical pediatric anesthesiology. Salary and Benefits:The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $280,000 - $345,000The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.The University of Colorado offers a full benefits package. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Colorado by effective hire dateAmerican Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Certified, ABA Board Eligible, or possess certification of foreign training that is recognized as equivalent to its diploma by the American Board of AnesthesiologyFellowship-trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology
- Board certification in pediatric anesthesiology is highly desirable and expected within two years of employment.Experience teaching Anesthesiology
- Strong working and theoretical knowledge of Anesthesiology and Peri-operative Medicine
