Assistant Professor of Special Education

DeSales University's Department of Education housed in the Division of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences invites applications for a full-time non-tenure position as Assistant Professor of Special Education to begin August 2022. Candidates should have expertise in current Special Education research and instructional methodology, including positive behavior management, IEP development, strategies for both mild and profound disabilities, and transition support services. The faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate coursework, maintain an active program of scholarship and professional development, and engage in service to the University.

The Department seeks a faculty member who:

A Ph.D. is required; A.B.D. considered. College teaching experience is preferred.

In addition to teaching four courses per semester, the faculty member will engage in service to the University and maintain an active program of scholarship.

This is a non-tenure full-time position. Successful applicants can take advantage of extended long-term contracts with the possibility of conversion to tenure in the distant future.
